Property Owners’ Beach House CLOSED for Renovations!

 Improvements to include:

  • A modest expansion of the downstairs room, including an expanded kitchen, addition of a handicap accessible restroom, floor to ceiling windows and an expanded deck facing the beachfront, accessible from the room.
  • The outdoor deck on the south side of the building will be expanded and will include a second-floor deck accessible from the both the ground and first level of the building.
  • The upstairs room will be slightly expanded to improve its functionality.
  • Restrooms on the first and second floors will be fully renovated.
  • An elevator will make all levels more accessible.
  • Additional Parking
  • Access controls to limit the facility to property owner use are being reviewed.

Update as of November 3, 2023

If you haven’t been by the Beach House lately, work on the site has begun. We mentioned several weeks ago the furniture and appliances were donated to East Cooper Home Store on behalf of the Community.  The Beach House is now CLOSED for any future reservations.

Eadie’s Diva D Enterprises, LLC has started site work. The area where additional parking spaces will be added is being cleared and that side of the existing parking lot (the east side) is closed off.  It will be used as a staging area and for contractor parking during the renovations. Plywood is being used to protect the pavers in that area as heavy equipment is operating on site.  Sand will also be used as additional protection for the pavers.

Any plant material that can be saved and recycled has been removed.  The existing concrete sidewalks will be torn out as drainage improvements get underway. Power to the building was shut off October 27th, so the restrooms are closed. A portable restroom trailer will soon be placed near the picnic shelter and will remain accessible from the beach access path throughout the project.

Owner parking on the west side of the existing parking lot will remain accessible through most of the renovation work. For your safety, fencing will be installed next week, cordoning off the work area. Regular updates will be provided to keep you posted on our progress.
