The Isle of Palms Public Works Department is located at 1303 Palm Boulevard and is responsible for the collection of garbage and yard debris in Wild Dunes.

Garbage Collection

Twice Per Week Collection Begins the Week of: June 7, 2021 – August 30, 2021 (Wild Dunes Tuesday & Friday)
Once Per Week Collection Begins the Week of: September 6, 2021 – May 31, 2022. (Wild Dunes Tuesday)

Acceptable Yard Debris

All yard debris must be in paper bags or containers. Plastic bags cannot be accepted. DO NOT PLACE YARD DEBRIS ON WILD DUNES CUL DE SACS or along PALMETTO DRIVE. Debris must be placed in front of resident’s home.

  • Routine Landscaping Trimmings
  • Leaves
  • Grass Clippings
  • Logs, Limbs, Brush not more than 4 feet in length and 4 inches in diameter.

Please place yard debris (trimmings, leaves and grass clippings) in a biodegradable bag for pickup. Please do not mix garbage with yard debris. Please do not obstruct water meters, stormwater collection boxes, sewer manhole covers, fire hydrants or utility boxes.

Charleston County Recycling

Blue Recycling cans are picked up in Wild Dunes every Wednesday through Labor Day.
